Four RFS volunteers injured in truck crash

FOUR volunteer firefighters have been taken to hospital after their truck crashed in NSW's Southern Highlands.

The Rural Fire Service (RFS) volunteers were responding to reports of a fire when they crashed into a pole in Moss Vale, police said.

A man sitting in the front passenger seat was thrown from the truck and injured his neck, back, leg and chest.

The driver was trapped inside the truck before being freed with neck, back and abdomen injuries.

Both men have been airlifted to hospital for treatment.

Two men, who were sitting in the rear cabin seats sustained minor head injuries, including cuts and abrasions.

They have also been taken for further treatment.
